Hydrostatic Testing

The hydrostatic test is essential for identifying flaws that could compromise the safety of both divers and fill station operators. We provide hydrostatic testing for carbon fiber and fiber-wrapped SCBA tanks, as well as paintball cylinders. This process involves filling the tank with water and pressurizing it to evaluate its structural integrity.

Federal regulations require hydrostatic testing every five years. Cylinders that pass are stamped with the test date (month and year) and our identification number. Cylinders that fail are permanently condemned and marked with an "X" over the serial number.
